However, in modern medical science the role of this relationship is often overlooked. Through the qualitative research of the texts of the Hippocratic collection, we approach the beginning of the healing art, when the distinction of sciences had not yet been established and man was perceived as a whole. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The research areas are: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>What is the role of the doctor?<\/li><li>What is the role of the patient in the course of healing?<\/li><li>How is therapeutic compliance ensured? <\/li><li>What are the therapeutic limits?<\/li><\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deep humanism, the essence and value of human scale, everything in moderation, respect for the patient&#8217;s self-knowledge of the process <em>&#8220;through the sensory perception of the body&#8221;<\/em> (On Ancient Medicine, 9) are important legacies that can be applied to all modern therapeutic arts. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: Hippocrates&#8217; &#8220;Collected works&#8221; were used as main bibliographic source by Cactus Publications, considering the Hippocratic corpus as a &#8220;collection of medical books of the Hippocratic era&#8221; (Geroulanos, 2010)<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/discussion.traditionalhellenicmedicine.gr\/t\/h-ippokratikh-schesh-iatroy-asthenoys-ws-phgh-empneyshs-gia-kathe-sygchronh-therapeytikh-technh\/21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">.<\/a><\/p>\n<span class=\"et_bloom_bottom_trigger\"><\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In modern counseling and psychotherapy the therapeutic relationship is an important therapeutic factor, one, that according to many researchers, is more important than the therapeutic means and techniques.
